Summary
of Budget cuts
The
following represents a listing of the cuts from the original budget
expenses estimated in February for the FY 04-05 General Fund Budget
Police
Department
$22,000 - police cruiser will be financed through a loan from the
Electric Fund
Fire
Department
$9,000 - cut from general equip,rescue squad
equip.,Insurance,training,misc.bunker
gear
Street
Department
$68,000 - $65,000 dump truck will be financed through a loan from
the Electric
fund $3,000- snow removal
general equipment and storm sewer materials
& expense
Other
Economic Opport. & Development
$2,500 - Grant writer expense- Grant writing will be retained on
an as needed basis only
Please note: WDC reduced their request by $6,300 this year as well
but this reduction was made during the initial budget estimates
so it wasn't included in these cuts. It still should
be acknowledged that the WDC requested less money this year.
Refuse
& Garbage
$4,715 - reduced in the areas of Garbage collection,spring clean
up and Recycling
Street
Lighting
$20,200- Electric fund to cover 50% of the total cost of $40,400
for street lighting expense
Insurance
Expense
$20,000- health insurance
$1,500- general liability and related insurances
