Public Works Department gets approvals for new equipment

was permitted to bid out for refuse collection, recycling collection and spring clean up services.  Please contact the Public Works Department or the Village Clerk's Office to obtain bid specifications.

The Board also gave Ed permission to replace Truck #28, a 3/4 ton Chevy Pick-up used by the Water & Sewer gang.  Recently, the vehicle was in an accident through no fault of the Village and since the transmission went later the same day and repair estimates for the body work and transmission work total almost $5,000, the board approved Ed's recommendation not to put anymore money into this vehicle and purchase a new one instead. At the request of the Mayor and Village Clerk, local dealers will also be contacted and have a chance to beat state bid pricing.  Please contact Ed Lebarron for more information.
