Fire
Department Presents Thermal Imaging Camara to Village
Fire Dept. members Lyle
Holland, Dave Haskin and Jim Pacanowski presented the department's
new Bullard T3 Thermal Imaging camara to the board. A released
statement reports that a committee consisting of Dave Haskin, William
Bills and Steve Pacanowski worked for over one (1) year researching
the different units that were available. At a cost of $11,399,
the Dept. utilized money donated by the public to the Ambulance
and Memorial Funds to purchase the unit. Thermal imaging camaras
have been credited with saving many lives, allowing firefighters
to locate victims quickly, especially in heavy smoke conditions.
"The Westfield Fire Department would like to thank the public
for their generous donations which allowed us the opportunity to
purchase this unit, therefore better extending the WFD's ability
to better serve the community."
