Responsibilities

The Village of Westfield provides consistent and reliable electric service to the Town and Village of Westfield, serving over 3,300 residential and commercial customers.

The electric system dates to the early part of the century and due to the foresight of Village officials many years ago, Westfield maintains some of the lowest electric rates in the State. Our rates are over 3 times less than electric power from private sources. Currently, the system capacity is roughly 30 megawatts (mgw); demand is approximately 15 mgw. There are two separate rates charged for electric service: residential and non-residential.
