Responsibilities
The Village of Westfield provides consistent and reliable electric
service to the Town and Village of Westfield, serving over 3,300
residential and commercial customers.
The electric system dates to the early part of the century and
due to the foresight of Village officials many years ago, Westfield
maintains some of the lowest electric rates in the State. Our rates
are over 3 times less than electric power from private sources.
Currently, the system capacity is roughly 30 megawatts (mgw); demand
is approximately 15 mgw. There are two separate rates charged for
electric service: residential and non-residential.
