Code Enforcement Officer reports on building permits and open complaints

Jack Bills, Building and Zoning Code Enforcement Officer distributed a report of recent building permits issued in the Village and open complaints to the Board for their review and information. In the report, thirteen (13) building permits were issued in the Village during the period from September 1 through October 31, 2003 for project values estimated at $134,400 with permit fees totaling $400.16.

Jack also provided the Board with a list of open building and zoning code complaints during the aforementioned time period. Jack’s report shows ten (10) total open complaints. Two (2) of the complaints are zoning violations and eight (8) are fire and building code violations. Due to non-compliance after repeated attempts, four (4) of the open complaints have resulting in Village Court appearance tickets.
